Linear Improvisation

In this series the artist uncovers the rhythms intrinsic to his subjects. In the artwork titled ‘Rhongo’ he heightens the Zen like flow of the sand and clouds and directs the action into a surreal narrative of space and time. The linear elements on a microscopic level are magnified to disclose intricate relations in ‘Dew.’ In the artworks ‘Power’ and ‘Time Machine’ lines are worked upon to emphasize the symmetry of the subject and to induce dynamism. In the former a perfectly executed zoom-burst creates the sense of an ongoing projection, while in the latter a precise distortion, captured through a fisheye lens, simulates an inclusive inspection of an inscrutably white cosmos. In the artworks ‘Galactic 1 & 2’ manmade lights are made to perform within a celestial framework.
